WEST LOIRE VALLEY Chateau de Montsoreau Montsoreau is a market town located east of Saumur. It’s most notable feature is the Château de Montsareau [+33 241671260 http://www.chateau-montsoreau.com/] which is built on the banks of the Loire river, by King Charles VII’s commission, in 1455. It is currently home to the Musée des Goums Moracains [ad/ch €8.30/5.20] showcasing the river trade in the region.
