Parc Montsouris Wikipedia
Parc Montsouris [2 rue Gazan] is a 15 hectare, English garden style park that was completed in 1878 as part of Napoleon’s Paris reconstruction. Once a desolate land of the dead, the trapezium-shaped park is now home to over 1400 shady trees, 3 large lawns and ‘artistic’ pathways that are spotted with bronze and stone sculptures. Hence, the park is a popular ‘chill-out’ place amongst students from the nearby university residences. It is also home to a large meteorological observatory.
