FRANCE PARIS Musée Rodin Statue du Penseur

Musée Rodin [79 rue de Varenne, +33 144186110 http://www.musee-rodin.fr/ ad/ch €6/5] has been a popular museum amongst Paris visitors since its opening in 1919. Standing in Auguste Rodin’s old residence, the museum showcases an entire collection of the French sculptor’s works that were donated to the state by the artiste himself.

The museum contains studio collections of his works, as well as plaster mouldings of his notable pieces like Le Penseur (The Thinker) Le Baiser (The Kiss). It also houses a small collection of Camille Claudel’s (his mistress who was also an artist herself) works. The comprehensive museum is accompanied by a shady, ‘art-filled’ garden outside, as well.
