FRANCE PARIS dôme des invalides
The Musée de l’Armée is home to the largest French collection of artefacts from the nation’s military throughout the years. Its ensemble ranges from the various artilleries to uniforms that the soldiers have used throughout the centuries (some even dating back to the medieval period). The Hôtel des Invalides is also home to two separate churches- the Église St-Louis des Invalides and the Église du Dôme. The former was a church of the soldiers who resided here, while the latter is the church that is housed in the gigantic dome of the building. The sparkling Dome Church has been sheathing the remains of Napoléon since 1840, in a stacked, ‘six-coffin’ structure.
