Parc Naturel Régional de la Montagne de Reims

The Parc Naturel Régional de la Montagne de Reims [+33 326594163] is located at the eastern end of the Montagne de Reims section in the Champagne Route. Standing on rich soils with great geological diversity comprising of chalk, limestone and clay; the park is home to a varied landscape that features extensive forests, plateaus and valleys. Around 68 little villages sit snuggled amidst these valleys as well.

However, the park is better known for being home to curious flora species such as the Faux de Verzy trees (twisted, umbrella-like beach trees), which can be found close to the village of Verzy, in the northeast corner of the park. The park is also well connected with many hiking trails- the D34 in particular brings you to Verzy and a great point de vue (viewpoint) at Mont Sinaï.
